Living Lake

Whole Home

The Living Lake project is situated on a gorgeous lake-side lot, overlooking Lake Livingston. With such a stunning view, it was of utmost importance to enhance connectivity between the indoors and outdoors. The Living Lake home is a multi-generational weekend getaway and has been in the owners family for over 30 years. New, low profile picture windows bring in tons of natural light and allow the beautiful view to take precedence. The neutral and rich material selections provide an interesting combination of textures throughout the interior. The kitchen features leathered quartzite with a neutral subway tile backsplash, while bathrooms showcase a limestone-look porcelain and veined quartz countertops. Plans for summers filled with little swimmers running through the house meant a waterproof flooring was needed. We used a wood-look Luxury Vinyl Plank floor system to achieve the warmth of a wood tone, yet waterproof for all the summers to come. Cabinetry design focused on storing away the pile of snacks that accumulate on weekend trips into a lift up cabinet. A luggage bench was designed strategically next to the garage entry-point for quick dropping of luggage items, or quick grabbing of a hat to head out in the sun.
